Implementation of a home surveillance system using Rpi and MotioneyeOS with remote monitoring.

This was a personal home networking project where I set up a pi camera for surveillance purpose in my home and configured it for remote monitoring and intrusion alert. Motioneye -a free and open source solution to home surveillance, comes as a lightweight linux distro or standalone software that can be installed on raspberry pi. It detects intrusion based on change of pixel and sends you notification through mail/message/web hook. It can be paired with Home Assistant which enables you to configure any set of special command. It also offers media upload to google drive automatically once it's triggered. A new featured I added is the ability of real time remote monitoring through remote.it. It's a free third party app where you don't need to configure dynamic dns and port forwarding. Downsides are that the frame rate is low and it can give false alert if light condition changes.
