🇯🇵✈️ The main reason for this trip? To get my Japanese student visa! Welcome back to 50+ Alone in Japan — where I share my journey of starting a new life, learning Japanese, and chasing dreams later in life. 💛 In this episode, we head to Busan, South Korea, to drop off my passport for visa processing. I was told it would take 5–7 days, so while I waited… I did a little exploring! From ancient temples by the sea to colourful hillside villages and peaceful royal tombs, this trip turned into an unforgettable mini-adventure. And just when I least expected it… I got the notification that my visa was ready early! 🎉 📍What we did while waiting for the visa: Dropped off my passport for the Japanese student visa process Visited Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (the temple by the sea) Walked the Cheongsapo Daritdol Skywalk Rode the Sky Capsule at Haeundae Blue Line Park Reflected at the UN Memorial Cemetery Got lost (in the best way) in Gamcheon Culture Village Took a day trip to the historic city of Gyeongju: Bulguksa Temple, Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond, Daereungwon Tomb Complex Celebrated with a return to our favourite Korean BBQ spot And finally… picked up my Japan visa!
