But the Houston Astros have attempted to put all the greasy foods in one easily portable package. Thus. the Chicken Waffle Cone was born! Subscribe: http://goo.gl/Z7lbS We here at Tasted would like to point out that Nick Chapman at Dude Foods already had this idea back in 2012: http://goo.gl/rsks3R The Astros appropriated the dish, and then made it a lot worse by using honey mustard instead of maple syrup as a sauce. Which misses the entire flavor-profile point of chicken and waffles. We’re not sure Noah would appreciate us going on record as acknowledging that a chicken-and-waffles-and-mashed-potato cone has a point. There’s a decent chance the Astros’ point of creating this item in the first place was to get food news shows like us to talk about it on the Internet. Well played, Astros. Well Played.
