This is some crazy stuff I recorded when I was 18. I had heard one amateur recording of this piece by the Brazilian oboe player Alex Klein and decided since the moment I heard it to play it myself. It was for this piece that I first learned the circular breathing. I recall having difficulties in learning it until the moment I told myself I was going to play the piece from the beggining to the end no matter what! It actually worked... I learned it in one week. The piece and the fingers got me a while more. Even if at that time I was not so much concerned about perfection, I think I captured well the spirit of this piece. Notice that the tempo indication from Pasculli is 126... I think this guy was really completely crazy. He was indeed the Paganini of the oboe! I tried my best then but only got near 120... Nevertheless I think this version is still one of the fastest (by far not the most perfect...) I heard until now. Be indulgent in your comments, ok? Enjoy, See you soon, Luis
