#organ #churchorgan #pipeorgan Me playing the organ at Claremount Methodist Church in Wallasey, Wirral. I am not sure of the history of this organ. The National Pipe Organ Register states that it was rebuilt in 1931 by Rushworth and Dreaper of Liverpool. This suggests it was a rebuild of an earlier instrument. The specification reads: PEDAL Open Diapason 16' Bourdon 16' Octave 8' Flute Bass 8' GREAT Lieblich Bourdon 16' Open Diapason I 8' Open Diapason II 8' Claribel Flute 8' Dulciana 8' Principal 4' Harmonic Flute 4' Fifteenth 2' SWELL Geigen Diapason 8' Stopped Diapason 8' Echo Gamba 8' Voix Celeste 8' Gemshorn 4' Mixture III Cornopean 8' Oboe 8' Tremulant COUPLERS Great to Pedal Swell to Pedal Swell Sub Octave to Great Swell Octave to Great Swell to Great Swell Sub Octave Swell Octave ACCESSORIES 4 thumb pistons to great 4 thumb pistons to swell duplicated by toe pistons 4 toe pistons to pedal 2 reversible thumb pistons 1 reversible toe piston - great to pedal I am playing the hymn "Come, let us join our cheerful songs" to the tune 'Nativity' from the Methodist hymnal 'Hymns and Psalms'. Many thanks to the church officials for allowing me access to this superb instrument.
