Shorty’s criminal activities included multiple murders, attempted murders, and conspiracies to commit murders in furtherance of the Organization. Through his operations, Shorty and his Organization amassed massive amounts of money, with which Shorty and other members of his Organization collected properties in New York, Miami, the Dominican Republic, and elsewhere. The scale of his narcotics business is reflected in the consent preliminary order of forfeiture that Shorty signed in connection with his plea agreement in this case, at least $25,000,000 flowed into the Organization. protection of Shorty’s pride and the Organization’s prolific narcotics sales drove Shorty to murder and attempt to murder nineteen people, and to wreck the lives of the dozens of innocent men and women whose loved ones died at Shorty’s direction.
