The Osiris is Frost Giant Electronics’ ground-up improvement of the entire concept of the overdrive pedal. It’s not a clone and it’s not transparent in the slightest, but Osiris will certainly kick your amp into exquisite, saturated glory, whether you just want a little extra oomph or full-on meltdown (it can even clean up an already roaring amp if that’s what you’re after). Osiris has 18v internal operation (still industry standard 9v at the tap, though!) for massive headroom and punch, a finely tuned Depth control that can push the meaty low-end frequencies, or roll them back for extra tight, thrashy riffing. The Blend knob lets you precisely control the ratio of amp dirt to pedal dirt, and a germanium D9B diode sits at the heart of Osiris for a lush overdrive character. In this demo video we employ the Frost Giant Osiris on both bass and guitar in a heavy rock context, demonstrating its impressive tonal range and distinctive sonic imprint.
