This physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into open circuits, closed circuits, and short circuits. An open circuit contains a break in the circuit and does not conduct electricity. The closed circuit is a circuit that conducts an electric current and has a measurable amount of resistance. The short circuit is a closed circuit with almost no resistance which allows a large amount of electricity to flow in the conductor which can be a fire hazard.
