Seattle drivers continue to be bad, and I continue to be angry about it! Here's another collection of crashes, captured on Seattle's traffic cameras, with commentary by yours truly. This video has a quiz involved: how many of these crashes were caused by SUV drivers? I'll pick a few folks who answer correctly in the comments and give them a shout-out in my next video! This video features a lot of crashes on Aurora Avenue, including 4 on the Aurora bridge. I actually had three other crashes on the Aurora bridge that I didn't include because they were too distant / hard to see. It's no secret that the Aurora bridge is dangerous - it was the site of a crash in 2015 that killed four people - but the crashes featured in this video could have happened anywhere, as they just involved drivers not paying attention to what was happening in front of them. The exception is the 4th video, where a near head-on crash shows that the flimsy flex posts serving as a center divider are woefully inadequate. Disclaimer: I made a joke about hoping someone gets stuck riding the bus - for the record, I think public transit is great, and I wish riding it in Seattle felt less like a punishment. We do have some great routes, as well as a lot of room for improvement, but if more people rode the bus I think we'd all be better off. Most of these crashes took place between March and May 2025.
