I just purchased this mini drone sub 250 grams with 3 batteries, flight controller, and accessories. This flight is in Class D controlled airspace and Laanc authorization was received. Video shot in 4K HDR @ 30 fps automatic settings and the thumbnail was shot in 8K picture mode and compressed. This Potensic Atom 2 checks all the boxes for reasonable price and tons of features some of which are on expensive drones, the Potensic battery charger is a parallel battery charger and charges all 3 batteries or two at the same time. The return to home point can be dynamically set so that the drone will land where the flight controller is not where it took off from to name a few. This drone is FAA registered in my Part 107 and Recreational drone inventories. I have both FAA Part 107 and Trust licenses. Its fun to fly and has outstanding control. The Atom 2 has a FAA approved Remote Identification Module integrated on the motherboard that can be activated in settings and was on during this first flight. The latest firmware (as of 10/10/25) for Atom 2 is V 20 and V 17 for the flight controller. This update was done on first powering up the Atom 2 and flight controller by Potensic Eve app through connection with mobile phone wifi and was seamless.
