This film will release nationwide in the U.S. on November 7th! Please watch it in theatres. Little Amélie or the Character of Rain is an animated triumph that delicately traverses through an especially-young protagonist's life. Through the lens of this character, the viewer is brilliantly exposed to the broad topics of life and death, family and isolation, and grudging or healing difficult traumas. The film visualizes its world with an expert understanding of real-world form and structure so as to simplify visual elements keenly, yet all of its background work is still spectacular and each background shot deserves to be shown in a museum.
