Four notorious criminals have been arrested, and police have recovered three automatic pistols, four live cartridges, and a Hyundai Accent car used during the crime. The incident took place on July 27, when a frantic PCR call was received, reporting that three armed men had entered a house and were holding the resident at gunpoint. Responding quickly, a police team rushed to the spot at H. No. 1242, second floor, Mukherjee Nagar, where the complainant, Jatinder Singh, narrated the terrifying incident. He told police that the armed men forced him to sit facing the wall while they searched the house and stole valuables. His wife, Harmanpreet Kaur, later confirmed that two gold bangles, a pair of earrings, and ₹1.5 lakh in cash were missing from the almirah. Given the seriousness of the crime, a special investigation team led by Inspector Rajiv Shah, SHO of Mukherjee Nagar police station, was formed. The team analyzed CCTV footage from nearby areas and identified a suspicious Hyundai Accent car bearing the number DL12C5969. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the number plate was fake and actually belonged to a different vehicle. The actual car used in the crime was traced back to the MES unit in Delhi Cantonment. From there, police apprehended two suspects — Kamal Raj and Rocky. During interrogation, they revealed that the mastermind behind the robbery was Ashok Kumar Yadav, a former domestic worker at the complainant's house, who knew the layout and believed valuables were stored there. Ashok was arrested near Naraina Flyover based on the leads provided. The fourth accused, Shivam alias Surat Singh, who had been hiding in Noida, was later arrested from Baroli village. One more pistol was recovered from his possession. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they were struggling with heavy debts and wanted to make quick money to live a lavish lifestyle beyond their means. Ashok, having inside knowledge of the house, informed the others and together they planned the robbery. The police have now added sections under the Arms Act to the FIR and are investigating the source of the weapons. Efforts are also being made to determine if the accused were involved in any other criminal activities.
