Uyuni Salt Flats (Day 2)– A Two Day Adventure - South America Vlog

In this video, we continue our 4x4 journey through southwest Bolivia on Day 2 of our Uyuni Salt Flats (Salar de Uyuni) tour. After leaving the white salt plains behind, the landscape changed completely. We drove through the Altiplano, passing through colorful deserts, strange rock formations, and high-altitude lagoons filled with flamingos. The contrast between the bright blue skies, red mountains, and turquoise water made this day feel like another world. Throughout the day, we stopped at several incredible spots, including the Chiguana Desert, with views of Ollagüe Volcano on the Chilean border, and the surreal Laguna Cañapa and Laguna Hedionda, where hundreds of flamingos feed in the shallow water. We also visited the Siloli Desert, home to the famous Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree), before ending the day near Laguna Colorada, a red lake surrounded by volcanic peaks. We spent the night in a basic desert lodge — no luxury here, just silence, cold air, and one of the clearest skies we’ve ever seen.
