JPTR FX are a small pedal brand headed up by Chris Jupiter and they're based in the North of Germany. I first met Chris at 42 Gear Street in 2020 and we hung out and shot more videos together at 42 Gear Street 2021. Chris gave me this Silvermachine to check out and I can confirm, I loved it! The Silvermachine is a dual gain stage fuzz with an input and output gain control, as well as a master volume. It's based around that classic Octavia sound with the ability to control the gain going into the circuit and the gain coming out. You can go from crazy octaver lines to some more ring modulation style sounds with a few simple gain stage tweaks. The pedal also has a master volume control, and it gets loud! There is no LED on top of this pedal. When I asked Chris about this, he simply told me that the pedal did not need an LED, because you would know when it was switched on... and boy was he right! In the video I am using the Shergold Provocateur, Schecter Nick Johnston and Stanford Crossroad Thinline 35 though the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 amp which is mic'd with a Lewitt Audio LCT440 mic. The reverb in the video is coming from the Surfy Industries Surfybear Classic and I also stack the fuzz with some drive from the Analogman King of Tone.
