Hi, it's Wednesday, May 28, 2008 and I'm Melisse Hinkle with today's UPI Entertainment Update. Kirsten Dunst is speaking out about the time she spent at a Utah treatment center back in February. Dunst says she checked into the Cirque Lodge not because of substance abuse, but because she was struggling with depression. The actress tells E! News she wants to dispel the rumors now that her condition has improved. She's currently shooting a new movie called "All Good Things" alongside Ryan Gosling. Members of the film industry are mourning the loss of Sydney Pollack. The 73-year-old film director died Monday after a battle with cancer. Pollack is known for films like "Tootsie" and "Out of Africa." Actor Tom Cruise, who worked with Pollack on a few projects, called the director a Renaissance man in a statement he released Tuesday. Cruise's ex-wife Nicole Kidman also issued a statement in which she dubbed the late director "irreplaceable." Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are apparently just leasing Chateau Miraval estate in southern France. Reports that the couple had purchased the property were circulating, but a French newspaper now says they've just signed a three-year lease. The estate features his-and-hers gyms, a banquet hall and an indoor pool. A rep for the pair would not comment to People magazine. Tony Soprano's clothes are set to be auctioned off. James Gandolfini, who plays the mobster on "The Sopranos," will be taking bids for 24 of the outfits he's worn on the show. Proceeds from the threads will help injured soldiers through the Wounded Warrior Project. The outfits will be up for auction starting June 25 and they could raise more than $36,000. Ben & Jerry's is honoring John Lennon with a new ice cream flavor called "Imagine Whirled Peace." The company helped host a "Peace Bed-In" yesterday in New York in remembrance of a similar event hosted by Lennon and Yoko Ono back in 1969. Actress and peace activist Maggie Gyllenhaal was on hand at the event to help honor the leaders of today's peace movement and to taste test the new Ben & Jerry's flavor. Thanks for watching today's entertainment update and have a great day.
