Demonstrating sustainability credentials represents a major economic opportunity for Canada’s agri-food sector and is central to advancing the country’s global food ambition. Consumers, customers, investors, and regulators increasingly expect food systems to deliver credible, measurable sustainability outcomes. This webinar, presented in partnership with RealAg, unpacks the Centre for Agri-Food Benchmarking’s latest National Index on Agri-Food Performance update https://www.agrifoodindex.ca/publicat... and explores how this tool can strengthen evidence-based decision-making across the sector. The discussion assesses Canada’s track record, leadership, and progress in building a more sustainable agri-food system. The exchange begins with a conversation between Shaun Haney, the Founder and CEO of RealAg, and Amanda Richardson, the Executive Director of the Centre for Agri-Food Benchmarking & National Index for Agri-Food Performance. This is followed by a panel discussion moderated by CAPI's Managing Director, Tyler McCann, featuring: • Michelle Edwards, Director, Agri-Food Data Strategy, University of Guelph • Jessica Norup, Director, Climate Policy and Partnerships, Strategic Policy Branch, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada • Brittany Lacasse, Manager, Stewardship and Sustainability, CropLife Canada • Kevin Elder, Project Manager, Labour Market Information, Food Processing Skills Canada
