If you end up going to academic conferences you're going to be familiar with two main types of presentations: Poster Presentation: You develop a poster presentation for the study you worked on. Paper Presentation: Being an individual member of a panel that is put together by the organizers of the conference. After they have accepted your paper presentation they put yours with similar presentations for the same session. However, there is a third very SPECIAL kind of presentation category which is a Conference Symposium. A symposium can be thought of the same way as you being the guest editor on a journal for a special issue. You are like the guest conference administrator.
