This is how I like to tie a Lured 23mm Incognito bead. www.luredbythebead.com Lured’s Incognito bead is a hard bead with a soft outer shell molded around it. The best of both worlds. To a fish it’s a soft bead which, in theory, they tend to hold in their mouth longer allowing you more time to reel til you feel and hook set. The internal hard bead means no more tear through that can happen when a traditional soft bead gets snagged. I use these for winter and summer steelhead fishing in the Pacific Northwest, both bobber dogging and drift fishing. Oddly, increasing the presentation size has excelled in low/clear conditions. The pics in the video and steps below show how to tie up a clean presentation using this particular size and style of bead. *Tie a simple overhand loop knot. I prefer the hook to be dropped back three fingers from the bead. *Feed the loop through front side eye of the hook. *Loop under the hook and pull tight. *Slide a small egg style bobber stop down the leader to the top of the knot. *Slide the bead down the leader until bobber stop recesses into the outer cover of the bead. *Slide another bobber stop down the leader and recess it into the outer cover of the bead.
