DebEz A smart sustainable mobility application

EIT Cross-KIC New European Bauhaus Ideation Awards 2021 presentation The solution we provide is an all-inclusive mobile application that presents various features that will increase the attractiveness of public transportation. The main features of our application “DebEz” are e-ticket purchasing, precise and updated schedules to increase punctuality and a map to help the user find the most efficient itinerary. We worked on the gamification of our application by allowing the user to earn points while using public transportation and compete with their friends. Rewards are also provided by 3rd party companies that reward users with items, promos, services based on use of public transport. These points could later be redeemed for coupons or e-vouchers. Furthermore, the application will provide a virtual library only accessible onboard to entertain the user while also encouraging the use of public transport. Last but not least, the application will let the user know when was the transport they will use last sanitized as well as how many people are on board to reassure the users and increase the attractiveness of the public transportation after the covid-19 outbreak.
