As the “A” in the multiplatinum band AJR, Adam Met tours worldwide, while advocating for social justice and fair solutions to the global climate emergency. As the founder and executive director of the climate advocacy nonprofit Planet Reimagined, Met develops research and fosters change locally and internationally. Planet Reimagined uses an action-research model to train and engage the climate leaders of the future, using media and entertainment platforms along with strategic advocacy to mobilize climate action. Met has worked with the United States Congress and the White House on bipartisan efforts to promote renewable energy policies in the United States. Internationally, he serves as a celebrity advocate for the United Nations Development Programme, raising awareness about climate issues. As an adjunct professor at Columbia University, Met draws on his Ph.D. in human rights law and sustainable development and his experience as an advocate to teach about climate policy and campaigning.
