Welcome to Day 3 of our Faroe Islands adventure! Today we take another unforgettable road trip through some of the most breathtaking scenery the islands have to offer — remote valleys, coastal cliffs, waterfalls, and peaceful villages that feel frozen in time. We begin our journey driving through the dramatic northern landscapes of Streymoy and Eysturoy, where every corner of the road reveals a new postcard view. Our first stop is the beautiful village of Tjørnuvik, surrounded by steep mountains and black-sand beaches, with a perfect view of the legendary sea stacks Risin og Kellingin in the distance. Next, we head to Saksun, one of the most photographed spots in the Faroe Islands — a quiet village nestled at the end of a fjord, surrounded by towering cliffs and waterfalls. The scenery here feels otherworldly, and it’s easy to see why photographers and filmmakers love this location. We finish our day at the Fossá Waterfall, the tallest in the Faroe Islands, where the twin cascades plunge dramatically down the mountainside. It’s a perfect end to an incredible day of exploring. Along the way, we capture the beauty of the islands with drone footage and some of my favourite photographs from the trip. The mix of stills and cinematic video really shows just how wild and magical the Faroe Islands are.
