At the International Fluid Power Conference (IFK 2020) virtually held in Dresden, on October 13th, 2020, Peter Achten of Innas BV presented how the design of pistons and cups for hydrostatic pumps and motors affects the efficiency of these pumps and motors. A dedicated test bench was built in order to test friction and leakage at very low speed, thus creating the worst possible tribological conditions, allowing to also investigate wear of the components.
