By: Erin Nichols: More than 60,000 unaccompanied immigrant children have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border just within the last year. As the number of children grows, so does the threat they could be sold into human slavery. "It's hard because you don't know who to trust," said Tanairi Ochoa-Rodriguez who emigrated from Mexico to the U.S. as a child. Ochoa-Rodriguez was just 3-years-old when she crossed the border with her parents. "If I went through it in 1997, I can only imagine the possibilities of today," said Ochoa-Rodriguez. Her father wanted them to leave Mexico to escape the growing violence. "He had to choose whether he was going to work as a drug dealer or escape," she said. According to the United Nations Refugee Agency, many children crossing the border now are also escaping those same realities. But unlike Ochoa-Rodriguez, they're crossing without their parents
