The Scottsdale auctions took place over the weekend, and the original George Barris-designed Batmobile sold for a jaw-dropping $4.62 million. Meanwhile, race team owner and car dealer Rick Hendrick scooped up a pair of prize Corvettes. He spent nearly $1.1 million to buy the first 2014 Corvette Stingray, and $270,000 on a '58 Vette that was owned by GM CEO Dan Akerson. Money from those sales goes to charities. There has been no official word, yet, but Glock was quoted: "I have had a great experience with Marussia F1 for three years and we part amicably." Glock added that he will look for "new challenges." Construction is reported include an investment of $7.3 million. Allan Rushforth, senior vice president and CEO of Hyundai Motor Europe, told Carblog: "The new center represents a significant investment and one we expect will significantly contribute to enhancing the perception of the Hyundai brand and our key competitive competence in Europe."
