How to modify Vintage Precision S-10 EL-84 tube PA amp for electric Guitar use Great for recording

The Precision S-10 is a great amp to modify into a nice push pull guitar amp. I covered this process about 4 years back. Since then, I have made some changes to the schematic and layout. The amp in its present state is pretty much worthless for guitar use due to low gain and lack of tone circuits. To remedy this, another tube must be added (Inverter), then you update the 6EU7 to a 12AX7. After that is in place, I add the typical Fender Treble & bass controls (Princeton). This mod will spring the amp into action. Delivers a great tone, low noise. The transformers are super quality, so no need to upgrade them. Of course, its always best to replace the main filter cap as it has served a long life. If your 6V4 and EL84's are good, the entire update may only run about $50 in parts.
