For a town whose name was decided by a Poker game, the City of Orange has come a long way since its beginnings in 1869. Were a full service city we have our own fire department, we have our own police department, we have our own water utility so we pretty much do it all here in the City of Orange. By focusing on both preserving history and being a major participant in the future, Orange has created a unique place in the County with its small town feel totally immersed in business, as well. Our downtown plaza district from the late 1800s is still almost exactly the way it was when it was built and that is just a wonderful wonderful community feel. Families looking for a place to raise their children find charming historic neighborhoods and a homey community with easy access to all freeways. For a young family like ours, my wife and I safety is a obviously a concern but also an active lifestyle and an enjoyable place to live, youre not too much stuck in the grind that were all stuck in anyway, to get away from that which this feels like an oasis amidst that to be honest with you in a metro area the size of this. We are in the center of Orange County, so we are freeway close to pretty much any place you want to go to the beach, out to the mountains to Riverside the San Bernardino Area, Disneyland, angels stadium, you can get to it within just a few minutes from the City of Orange. Orange is also home to Chapman University, and though the school is older than the city, it keepin it young with a steady influx of the college set. I love all the food, all the little shops and just walking down here, its only like a ten minute walk and we can come have yogurt or just sit out here and relax.
