Harvard Radcliffe Institute hosted a pair of programs featuring open dialogue about issues related to the Middle East. In each, speakers explored questions about modern Jewish and modern Arab/Muslim identity in the context of university, local, and worldwide communities and events. On November 25, 2024, Aslı Ü. Bâli, a professor of law at Yale Law School and the president of the Middle East Studies Association, conversed with Asim Ijaz Khwaja, Sumitomo-FASID Professor of International Finance and Development, Harvard Kennedy School; faculty director, Harvard Center for International Development; and cochair of the Harvard University Presidential Task Force on Combating Anti-Muslim, Anti-Arab, and Anti-Palestinian Bias. The program explored questions about modern Arab and Muslim identities in the context of university, local, and worldwide communities and events.
