Bulldozer Action in Sambhal: Mosque Committee Demolishes Own 'Illegal' Structure | India Today News

A demolition drive is underway in Sambhal against an allegedly illegal mosque built on Gram Samaj land. Following notices from the district administration, the masjid committee responsible for the structure began the demolition themselves on October 2nd. The committee has been given four days to complete the task for the structure, which was reportedly built 15 to 20 years ago. This action came after the SDM Sambhal Court issued a demolition order on September 2nd. The reporter on the ground stated, "the masjid committee members themselves started demolishing the part constructed on the Gram Samaj land." This is part of a wider administrative action, as an illegal marriage lawn in the Asmoli area, built by the same committee, has already been fully bulldozed by authorities.
