Today's California Zephyr #5 made its station stop in Fort Morgan at 0545 MST (2 min. off in departure). P42s #170 & #153 led the 8-car consist to a double stop with car 4 (sleeper) being the first stop for 1 new patron. Then the train was moved ahead to bring car 7 (coach) to the platform for 4 new patrons boarding for the ride to Glenwood Springs. With the station work safely completed, the high ball was given and on a clear signal at west Ft. Morgan CP, the Zephyr rolled west toward Union Station in Denver as its next stop. My thanks to the operating crew for the greetings from the cab and the conductors along with the passengers in the upper deck of the sightseer/lounge car for the waves. Everyone please stay safe!
