Cigar Review of the Comacho Triple Maduro A Honduran puro is a pretty rare cigar, but the Camacho Triple Maduro is even more unusual in that it features Maduro tobacco in all three components - wrapper, binder and (combined with other tobaccos) in the filler. Is Camacho onto something with Maduro overload or is it too much of a good thing? We'll figure that out in this video. The heavy leaf required in Maduro tobacco lends itself to a sturdy cigar, but the double corona size feels manageable in my hand. Draw and burn both impeccable. Taste was okay, certainly rich and somewhat complex, but it could have used a touch of sweetness. In comments I've seen, boldness is usually mentioned as disappointing - I think this is more a matter of over-selling by Camacho - it is about an 8/10 for boldness, certainly not mild or medium but not the powerhouse the marketing promise leads one to believe. In any event, I rated overall smoking experience an 8.0/10, certainly a very good cigar but not a standout. Other notes: There is a strange homage at about the 1 minute mark, where I mention a character from the movie, "Idiocracy." My goal was to try to crack up my camera person, instead I'm the one who broke up laughing. Nice there is a true professional involved in my videos, but unfortunately on the other side of the camera!
