Originally, I planned to build the frame downstairs and bring it up in sections. That didn’t work out the way I thought it would. The wall angle was steeper than my saw would allow, and cutting everything freehand wasn’t going to cut it. So I changed the plan. Instead of overcomplicating it, I simplified the build and framed it directly in place. Sometimes the simple solution is the better solution. This kneewall allows me to run new electrical without cutting into existing sheetrock. Once this is complete, I’ll be running wire, installing outlet boxes, and then moving on to vinyl plank flooring. This loft has been storage for years. The goal now is to make it usable — possibly even a small studio or workspace. More to come in the next videos. 👉 If you missed Part 1, go watch that first so this all makes sense. And as always, check to make sure you’re still subscribed. YouTube has been unsubscribing people lately. 📌 CHAPTERS 0:00 Welcome Back – Building the Kneewall 0:43 Measuring 18 Inches & Finding the Angle 3:11 Cutting the First Angle (Didn’t Go as Planned) 4:16 Testing the Fit Upstairs 6:46 Building It Directly on the Wall 8:00 Scrapping the Original Plan 11:48 New Tools & Finding the Correct Angle 14:49 Simple Framing Method That Works 17:05 Installing the Studs 19:29 First Side Complete 22:39 Second Side Finished 23:17 Starting Electrical (Almost…) 24:17 What’s Next – Flooring & Final Plans 26:00 Loft Dogs Take Over 🔗 If you enjoy this content, you may also like my other channels: Ouachita Mountain Living (rural life & commentary)@ouachitamountainliving The Dogman (real talk & lifestyle)@thedogmantalks DIY framing, kneewall framing, loft renovation, attic framing project, tight space carpentry, building a kneewall, home improvement project, small space framing, workshop renovation, rural DIY projects, homestead renovation, framing in attic space, solo home renovation, loft build series, Dogmans Mountain Workshop #DIY,#HomeImprovement,#Framing
