On the streets of Liverpool, tensions exploded as UKIP held a protest calling for the mass deportation of illegal migrants. What started as a demonstration quickly turned chaotic when Antifa and far-left counter protesters arrived to cause disruption and antagonise the British patriots. Throughout the day, I witnessed violence, arrests, and shocking scenes of 2-tier policing in full force. The police seemed overwhelmed, unsure of how to handle the situation, and at times appeared to protect the counter protesters while coming down hard on the patriots. With hundreds turning up, chants echoing through the city, and tempers flaring on all sides, Liverpool became the stage for one of the most explosive protests yet.
