This video demonstrates an easy method for displaying price tags at art shows. This method was the unique idea of a fellow Birmingham AL artist, Jeff Hughes. You simply use Avery Name Badges to hold the price tag, and it also can be stored on the painting wire, making it easy to keep your price tags paired with your paintings. For a more professional, galley type appearance, you can also download the Avery template for whichever name badge you chose to purchase, and print out your price tags. I always include first the artwork title in bolder and larger letters on top. Second line includes details such as medium and dimensions. ie. 30 x 30 Acrylic on Canvas Third line has just the price. I always have my inventory number on the back. This can help with updating an inventory list after the show. I also include my name for group shows. I should also mention that for certain types of group shows, it may sometimes be easier for administration if you have your price tags attached to the painting. Always check with those in charge of your show. For the Christmas show with the Mountain Brook Art Association, it is usually a couple weeks and there are various members volunteering for various shifts. This means that it is easier for them if you have a price tag attached to the piece. I hope you find this method helpful and that it can save you time as it has for me.
