Imagine you are sitting in a job interview on a video call. A man in a suit smiles and tells you about the job: “This job needs you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No holidays, no sick leave, no breaks. You’ll be on your feet most of the time. Sometimes you won’t even get to sleep. And yes, you won’t get paid — not even one rupee.” Most people are shocked. Some laugh. Some ask, “Is this even legal?” Then the interviewer says, “Millions of people are already doing this job. It’s the job of a mother.” Suddenly, everyone becomes silent. Their faces change. Some smile, some get tears in their eyes. One person even says, “My mom did all this for me?” Yes. Your mom. My mom. Every mom. Mothers never ask for anything. They don’t want a salary, not even a thank you sometimes. But they still work hard — with full love. From staying awake when we are sick, To cheering for us at every school function, To waiting silently when we come home late — Mothers carry the world in their hearts. So this Mother’s Day, take a moment. Think of all that your mother has done and still does. Maybe she’s near you. Maybe far away. Maybe she’s no longer in this world. But she will always live in your story. Try this: Write her a letter. Make her a cup of tea. Give her a tight hug. Say “Thank you” — from the heart. Because no one deserves it more. And here’s one last thought: If the world stopped paying in money and started paying in love — would your mother be the richest of all? #MothersDay #Mother #Motherhood #MothersDay2025 #IndiaSigningHands #ISH #ISHNews #ISL #IndianSignLanguage #SignLanguage ISH News broadcasts the Daily News and Entertainment online in Deaf-friendly accessible formats which are in Indian Sign Language (ISL), visual images with titles, voice-over and closed-captions.
