These two are Chinese penhold grip and Japanese penhold grip. In this video, we focus primarily on the Chinese penhold grip. Why are pushes so important in table tennis? Pushes are important whenever there is a backspin that we can not convert into a topspin. This helps us put the ball safely on the other side of the table with backspin, and hopefully, it will help us to create an opportunity in which the opponent responds with a weak shot that we can exploit.
