@southernedgeeducation ‘s “The Essentials of Guided Bone Regeneration 2.0” was an exhilarating experience !! Extensive lectures, Hands-On and 3 live surgeries made it an exciting 3 day academic and surgical exercise for the participants as well as the organizers. Venue : @heritagemadurai On Day 1 morning, the lectures included detailed analysis and diagnosis of different case scenarios, and detailed explanation of every step in GBR and soft tissue augmentations. Post-lunch session started with discussions on simple to complex cases followed by Hands-on on animal jaws where our cohort of Implantologists practiced soft tissue harvesting and GBR procedure courtesy the samples provided by @geistlich_india and loupes provided by @univet_india @univet_ttl_loupes. Day 2 - Live Surgeries @moorthy_dental_clinic_madurai Surgery 1 - 1st case started with discussion on the CBCT scan and detailed explanation on GBR instrumentation. Following which, implant placement ( implant courtesy - Chesa Dental and Megagen Implants) with the use of @densahburs ( @versahllc ) for osseodensification was done and Sausage technique of GBR was demonstrated. In the post lunch session, the participants learnt the intricacies of a case of a Direct Sinus Lift. 2nd Day evening the cohort met for a dinner to relax after an exhausting surgical day. Day 3 - In the 3rd case, the participants learnt how to harvest a Free gingival graft, how to de-epithelialize a Free gingival graft, how to perform a roll flap and how to stabilize the soft tissue grafts for augmentation around implants and natural teeth.
