The Valley of Jehoshaphat, traditionally located between the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives (near the Kidron Valley), holds a significant place in Christian belief, especially in eschatological contexts—that is, those related to the end times. Its meaning in Christian belief: The Place of the Last Judgment – As in Judaism, Christian tradition also identifies the Valley of Jehoshaphat as the site of the Last Judgment. According to the prophecy of Joel (Joel 3 in Christian Bibles), “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat...” In Christianity, this is associated with the return of Jesus to judge the living and the dead, and the valley is seen as the place where this will unfold.
