Geology professor Shawn Willsey journeys to Iceland to observe and record the spectacular and currently ongoing eruption of Fagradalsfjall. Watch as he surveys the vast and still cooling lava field from the 2021 eruption before venturing down to the active lava margin to collect a fresh lava sample for chemical and mineralogical analysis.
