I'm Losing It - Half-Life: Alyx part 2

I want to preface this video by saying that I'm not really a horror gamer. I can't play Silent Hill, I don't have the constitution for Dead Space, I've never enjoyed the most Resident of Evils. I'm more of an Animal Crossing, Final Fantasy, kind of guy. I'm saying all of this because I want you to know that my experience with Half-Life: Alyx in this video is not a performance, I'm just genuinely terrified. I hope you enjoy this video and feel free to make fun of me. Half-Life: Alyx is the best VR game I've ever played and will probably become one of the most significant games of 2020. I can see it being the foundation that future VR games will attempt to emulate for years to come. Having said that, Half-Life: Alyx is also spooky and I'm too much of a soft boy to handle it. It rides that line between being an incredible experience that I can't put it down but so intimidating that I have a hard time jumping back in. Half-Life is inherently chilling and even more so when experienced in VR. Everything feels so real and immersive, more so than any VR game I've played before. Every character and enemy acts with such realism that its easy to forget they don't exist. The best comparison that I can give is that the enemies in this game feel like animatronics from a Disney ride. They look, act, and sound real but your brain understands that they aren't actually alive. Finally I want to add that I haven't played Half-Life 2 since the release of the Orange Box back in 2007 (still one of the best gaming releases of all time), and have never completed either of the Half-Life episodes. So I'm sorry if I miss any subtle easter eggs or cite incorrect Half-Life lore.
