On our second day in Malaysia, we finally visited the famous Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur – one of the most iconic attractions in Malaysia. We had been looking forward to this moment for so long, but not everything turned out as expected. From the towering golden statue of Lord Murugan to the colorful stairways leading into the caves, Batu Caves is a must-see spot in Kuala Lumpur… but it also surprised us in ways we didn’t anticipate. After exploring the caves, we began a long 7-hour drive across Malaysia to reach the paradise-like Perhentian Islands. White sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a completely different vibe from the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur – the Perhentian Islands felt like stepping into a tropical dream.
