In this powerful Jummah Khutbah, Hafiz Bin Yameen Abid reminds us that harming others, oppressing people, backbiting, cheating, lying, breaking trusts, and injustice are not small sins — they are dangerous deeds that can destroy our Aakhirah. Allah ﷻ says: “Indeed, Allah commands justice, good conduct, and giving to relatives and forbids immorality, bad conduct, and oppression.” (Qur’an 16:90) The Prophet ﷺ warned us about ظلم (oppression): “Oppression will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim) Many people are careful about Salah and fasting, yet they neglect the rights of others — hurting hearts, damaging reputations, taking what is not theirs, or refusing to forgive.
