Originating primarily in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname, Chutney blends traditional Indian folk music — often heard at weddings and birth celebrations — with the lively rhythms of Caribbean styles like soca, calypso, and kaseko. This mix features some of the genres most celebrated artists such as Sundar Popo and Sonny Mann as well as lesser known artists; Tjaan Sardjoe and Cecil Funrose. Poly-Ritmo is a DJ, musician, broadcaster, and curator known for her soulful, percussive, and eclectic sets. She’s played at festivals and venues across the world including Glastonbury in the UK, Rio Carnival in Brazil, Magnetic Fields in India, Playtime in Mongolia and Bar Bridge in Japan. Poly-Ritmo is also the co-founder of Basket of Light, a highly celebrated three day event in Cornwall that brings together live music, DJs, workshops, theatre, talks and light installations, currently entering its fifth year. London-based artist Tash LC has established herself as a respected DJ, collector, broadcaster, voiceover artist and presenter across both radio and club mediums, with a passion for music from the global club space both classic and contemporary. Currently calling NTS Radio home with a bi-weekly show, Tash continues to explore the global underground alongside conversations with a range of guests.
