Big Bend Adventure - Part 1: Black Gap Road to Johnson's Ranch

My friend Joey and I venture far into the backcountry again for some remote, off-the-grid camping at the Johnson's Ranch campsite, located in the far southwest corner of Texas at Big Bend National Park. This journey takes us on a scenic Jeep Badge of Honor Trail known as Black Gap Road and then joins up with River Road West which parallels the Rio Grande and the Mexican border. Along the way we enjoy the sunny desert skies and help out a motorist who managed to get stuck along the trail. Once at camp, we prepare some delicious food and make radio contact with people hundreds of miles away from us through the use of Ham Radio.
