Mansfield Town earned an FA Cup third-round home tie against Liverpool courtesy of Louis Briscoe's late winner against Lincoln City at Field Mill. Having drawn 3-3 in the first game ten days ago, the Conference Premier rivals went head to head again for the replay at the One Call Stadium on Wednesday night. The Stags took the lead in the 14th minute when John Dempster's effort hit the woodwork and rebounded back into the net off unfortunate Imps 'keeper Paul Farman. Adam Smith struck a superb equaliser for David Holdsworth's visitors just before half-time. But Briscoe's late strike wrapped up a 2-1 victory for Paul Cox's side and earned them a mouthwatering meeting at home with last season's losing Finalists on 6 January.
