Right out of retail CD in absolute pristine condition, NO 3rd-party patches, NO fans' made mods OR any unexplained cults, the game was meant for Windows 98, so QEMU Windows 98 VM right it is. QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx handsomely surpassed that quality in WineD3D on modern GPUs. Not just on the performance, this video showed races in lightings at night and fogging special effects. Many post-2000 GPUs no longer render DirectX Fog correctly, QEMU-enhanced WineD3D faithfully restored and preserved DirectX Fog for many late 90's games, simple & less cumbersome than real retro PC boxes with period-correct GPUs and drivers combination that still render DirectX Fog properly for games. QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx is currently the BEST & HIGHEST quality Games Preservation for BreakNeck / N.I.C.E.2. Every aspects of the game is preserved in retail originality, including all play-styles in arcade mode, career mode and authentic CD music. Though the game was also available from Steam/GOG, it isn't preserved at the same quality. The retail CD version remains the BEST for nostalgia and game experience. And, the EVIL😈 qemu-3dfx is the -ONLY- way to play it at the absolute BEST & HIGHEST quality...🤣 It is REALLY funny in every occasion when the *\*FOOLS++RETARDED\** recommend the "other camp" *\*STUPID & RETARDED\** PC emulation FULL of *Accuracy \*BS\** for late 90's Windows PC games. While PCem once harbored the ambition in making Windows PC retro gaming great for emulation, it was turned into the LAUGHING STOCK of absolutely *\*STUPID & RETARDED\** emulation by qemu-3dfx and thereafter killed itself off from further humiliation. So then the *\*FOOLS++RETARDED\** turned their hopes on the fork. Everyone who actually played any Windows games on 86Box knew it was A JOKE, A JOKE of *Accuracy \*BS\** that remains irrelevant in retro gaming. It is such a cruel reality, nothing ever comes close to qemu-3dfx in Games Preservation, never for A Fork of JUNK which is inherently A Trash. Some wished they could, but in reality they weren't. PCem is 0xDEAD while 86Box remains A JOKE of *Accuracy \*BS\** tells such proven story. Bochs, MartyPC, VARCem and UniPCemu aren't really meant for games, even though some games may play. Windows games on any DOSBox forks is kind of funky, they are great for DOS games, but no way near the quality of QEMU in Windows games. None of the DOSBox forks have ever made any significant progress in supporting Windows games. Neither VMware nor VirtualBox has any agenda in PC gaming. Same for QEMU, if not for qemu-3dfx. And because of qemu-3dfx, VMware and VirtualBox are helmed as the alternative to QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx. So retro gaming on modern PCs in the context of late 90's Windows games is screwed. No one ever bothered, VOGONS turned out to be both the hypocrite and disgraced autocratic totalitarian. For simple life in retro gaming, not having to deal with junkyard-graded used PC parts, the only options are Steam/GOG and qemu-3dfx. Old games are cheap at Steam/GOG, if they don't add up while don't mind buying the same games again. QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx is the WORLD's only unique proposition that preserves Good OLD games on modern systems in pristine condition & retail originality.
