The Stars are my Roof :: Street Children of Uganda

Through an advocacy approach with this documentary photography project, the photographs will show the struggles these homeless street children live with, but also the dreams that they have for their lives. This film was produced by Lisa Marie Albert and takes place in Lira, Uganda with the street children at Child Restoration Outreach. I intend for this documentary to give these street children the opportunity to share their voices and opinions with Uganda, policy makers, NGOs, and international agencies such as UNICEF, the UN Refugee Agency, WHO, and others. This will be facilitated through photography exhibits (local in each Ugandan town and internationally), media, online, and in book form where the words of the street children themselves will compliment the images.
