This video is the first part of a five-part series on the root word USAP (talk, speak). It is the root word that is formed into verbs that convey a conversation, a discussion or agreement. This is a follow up video series on an previous topic on the root word SALITA (talk, speak) and the verb created from it, MAGSALITA (to deliver a talk, to deliver a speech). As a root word, USAP when combined with AFFIXES create new words like: • USAPAN… agreement • USAPIN… issue or topic • PAG-UUSAP… discussion, conversation • PAKI-USAP… request, plea In this video, we will discuss the verb MAG-USAP (to talk to each other or to converse with each other). Below are the different forms of this verb. • Infinitive Mag-usap • Imperative Mag-usap (+ tayo, kayo, sila) • Completed Nag-usap • Progressive Nag-uusap • Contemplative Mag-uusap • Recently Complete. Kapapag-usap In some of the sample sentences presented in this video, we used the adverb NA (now, already, etc.) that add a sense of urgency to the sentence.
