How is it done? Well. The short answer is yes . Liposuction can be done under local anesthetic which is how we do it. So this procedure is known as tumescent anesthesia. In tumescent anesthesia the total dose of local anesthetic is calculated and it is given to that area that we are operating. It is given just underneath the skin. So does this cause pain?
