Actor Govinda in an interview talks about the filming of Deewana Mastana with David Dhawan. He talks about his idols in the film industry, his early days in Bollywood, the characters he has played. He says, "I will only say this that with the grace of god I have been given a chance as an actor, complete actor or think of it as an entertainer. I am really happy about this... Comedy is the most difficult thing. Crying is a bit easier but doing comedy is very difficult." Deewana Mastana is a 1997 Indian Hindi romantic comedy directed by David Dhawan. The film stars Govinda, Anil Kapoor, and Juhi Chawla in pivotal roles. Johnny Lever, Anupam Kher, Reema Lagoo, Shakti Kapoor, Saeed Jaffrey and Kader Khan have supporting roles, while Salman Khan makes a special appearance. This film was dedicated to Manmohan Desai. This film borrows some elements from the 1991 Hollywood comedy, What About Bob? Johnny Lever received the Filmfare award for Best Comedian for his performance on this film.
