What happens when four IT mazdoors, three dogs, and one unstoppable Jeep Rubicon decide to welcome the New Year on the golden sands of Rajasthan? This vlog captures our most ambitious road trip yet — an 808 KM drive from Gurgaon to Jaisalmer in a single day, with our three fur babies riding along through fog, deserts, army zones, and endless highways. Our journey started at 2 AM from Gurgaon, when the fog was so thick that the roads almost disappeared. Visibility was low, nerves were high — but the Rubicon was built for moments like these. Slowly, mile by mile, we crossed into Rajasthan just as the sun began to rise, revealing empty highways, golden sand on both sides, camels casually crossing roads, and a calm that only desert mornings bring. We passed through Jhunjhunu, Fatehpur, Bikaner, Phalodi, and Pokhran, watching the landscape transform from city chaos to pure silence. At one fuel stop near Bikaner, Kimchi had her first-ever encounter with a cow, and her curiosity made that moment unforgettable for us. A simple dhaba breakfast turned into an unexpected experience when we witnessed broken illumination rounds from RPGs, reminding us how close we were to India’s border belt. Sky, being fascinated with military history, was visibly excited — and things got even more intense when we saw army tanks being transported towards border areas, instantly giving us goosebumps. One of the most powerful moments of this trip was our visit to Longewala Border, where history speaks louder than words. Standing there, seeing captured Pakistani tanks from the 1971 Battle of Longewala, was emotional, humbling, and deeply patriotic. As the sun dipped lower, we finally reached our destination — a desert camp right in the heart of Sam Sand Dunes, Thar Desert. For Sir Manish, Paaji, and Bhanja, this was their first-ever experience of sand dunes, and they lived it like kids — rolling in sand, making butterflies, burying their heads, and laughing without limits. Boss was injured and needed rest, so while she recovered, the rest of us soaked in the desert magic. As night fell, cultural performances lit up the camp, and just like that, 31st December turned into a memory we’ll never forget. When the clock struck 12 midnight, we didn’t just welcome a new year — we celebrated friendship, freedom, travel, and life. This is not just a road trip vlog! This is what happens when you choose memories over comfort.
